Born on July, 2nd 1965 in Nowe nad Wisłą, in north Poland. At age of 15 Adam started his education in school of music in Gdańsk. Started his jazz education playing vibraphone with "Big Band Gdańsk" led by Jerzy Partyka. He took part in Jazz Juniors and Jazz Workshop in Chodzież. A year later - as a drummer - started cooperation with a group "ZuZu" and a band "New Coast".
In 1986 began his professional career in Janusz Muniak band, then played with "D-Box", "Joung Power", "New Presentation", Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski and Zbigniew Namysłowski.

Since 1993 till today he has been playing with Jarosław Śmietana. Together with Śmietana they played hundreds of concerts in clubs and festivals all over the world. They also made together many records such as Phone Consultations, Outumn Suite or Polish Standards.

During his musical career Adam has been playing and recording as a sideman with many great American musicians: Lee Konitz, John Abercrombie, Garry Bartz, Eddie Henderson, Larry Koonze, Harvie Swartz, Cameron Brown, Jean Poul Bourelli, Bennie Wallace, Hamiet Bluiette and James Newton.

Last years

Last years brought him an extraordinary experience such as working with a great artist, a superb violinist - Nigel Kennedy. Adam participated in  projects led by this violin virtuoso: "Nigel Kennedy and Friends", "Bach meets Miles Davies", "Autumn Suite" and "The Jimmi Hendrix Experience". Artists  gave concerts in Grosse Freiheit in Hamburg, Columbiahalle in Berlin, Teatro Dal Verme in Mediolan, Ronnoe Scott's and Royal Albert Hall in London.

Adam played concerts in many European countries as well as in both Americas, Africa and Asia.

Czerwiński is also active as a jazz teacher taking part in jazz workshops and clinics. Under the aegis of Pojednanie Foundation since 1999 has led his own workshop in Gdańsk. The participants of these have recorded three CDs.

He is also the originator and co-organizer of "Jazz w Lesie" festival. Since its first edition in 1995 many great artists from Poland and abroad have performed there. Now it's one of the most important Jazz festivals in Poland.


As a composer and an arranger has led his own bands. Six years ago came out his first own record - "Hollywood Album" made in Los Angeles with Larry Goldings, Bennie Mauphin, Darek Oleszkiewicz and Jarek Śmietana. Shortly after his trio with Larry Goldings appeared in Japan. Year 2005 brings his third album "Raindance" which was also produced in LA in cooperation with Larry Goldings, Larry Koonse and Darek Oleszkiewicz.
